Jill Benson, a seasoned professional musician, has been captivating audiences with her vocal, flute, and piano performances for many years. Currently, she imparts her knowledge and passion for music at Musicology in Burlington, Wisconsin, where she offers private lessons in piano and flute and voice for all levels.

Jill's musical journey began in grade school when she first discovered her talent for the flute and piano. Her passion for music continued to grow throughout her high school years, where she excelled in numerous solo and ensemble contests. She consistently achieved star firsts in both flute and voice solos at the State Solo Ensemble throughout her four years of high school. In addition to her musical achievements, Jill showcased her talent in several school musicals and was honored with the prestigious John Philip Sousa Band Award.

At the end of her senior year, Jill's exceptional vocal abilities earned her a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP). She spent two years at UWSP pursuing a double major in vocal and instrumental music education, where she had the privilege of studying under graduates from the esteemed Juilliard School.

​

For the past 30 years, Jill has been an active member of various bands, and she continues to make significant contributions to the local music scene. Currently, she performs with local bands such as, Conviction, Mad Bark, and Matthew Adam & Ben Campbell. In addition to her band performances, Jill is involved in several side projects where she composes and performs original music.
